Sinopsis

September 1936. Destiny brings together two men on a battlefield of the Spanish Civil War. A forgotten place in the south of Spain . When sun sets they have become part of the history of mankind: one man is dead, the other famous for documenting it. A libertarian militia soldier, supposedly Federico Borrell and the photographer Robert Capa.
It was the first photography of a man in the moment of death that was spread throughout the world. An endless number of similar photos were to follow. All of a sudden, wars are clean: no dead, no wounded, no suffering ..... "What is it exactly that we are being asked to see in war photography?" War correspondents and the biographer give voice to Robert Capa. At the end of their lives eyewitnesses reflect their personal history. Adolescents project their fear of the future. Historians and politicians create a framework of facts. Is it worth it to keep a memory of suffering?

There is no past only a continuos present. The history of past wars is part of our present. Today's conflicts are tomorrow's wars. Mankind's history is the history of wars - we got all too used to it.

An invitation to reflect on war.

An effort to create the culture for peace.
